How to choose a 3D printing resin

The first criterion is the printer. The resin manufacturer validates the material with specific devices, so choose a line that is compatible with your printer. The second is the indication: model resin has no biocompatibility requirements, whereas splints, guides and crowns require a medical-grade material. The third is post-processing: washing and post-curing according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Resin lines

  • HeyGears UltraPrint – for HeyGears A2D, A2D-HD and other HeyGears printers: models (GP, water-washable WW), Crown and LT Crown for crowns, Detax Freeprint denture resins, and resins for splints, guides, trays and casting.
  • SHINING DENT – for the SHINING 3D AccuFab series: models (DM01, RM11, W20), CB11, CB12 and CB200 for crowns, DT02 for denture bases, SH01 and SS01 for splints, SG01 for guides, TR01 for trays.
  • Graphy Tera Harz – TC-85DAC for direct aligners, TR-07 for retainers, TC-80DP for permanent crowns, THD and TFDH for dentures.

Post-processing

The declared material properties are achieved only when the print is properly washed and cured. For this, use washing units and UV curing chambers; Graphy materials require curing in a reduced-oxygen environment (Tera Harz Cure).
