Description
Mandibular Movement Trajectory Analysis is a software module for the Shining3D MetiSmile / MetiSmile-MR face scanner, designed for detailed analysis of the mandibular movement trajectory. The module visualizes the movement trajectories of the condyle (head of the mandible) and the incisal edge – helping to assess mandibular function and supporting the diagnosis of temporomandibular joint disorders (TMD).
The module uses motion data captured with the MetiSmile / MetiSmile-MR scanner, which can be combined with CBCT data for more in-depth diagnostic analysis. The results help the clinician better understand the patient's occlusal function before planning prosthetic, orthodontic or occlusal treatment.
3D display of condylar and incisal edge movement trajectories facilitates functional diagnostics.
The module helps assess signs of temporomandibular joint disorders based on the patient's actual movements.
Movement data can be combined with cone beam computed tomography for more detailed diagnostic analysis.
