Description
Luxsutures SILK BLACK is a non-absorbable braided surgical suture made of natural silk, coated with silicone for smoother passage through tissue. The black color is clearly visible in the surgical field, and the braided structure ensures a secure knot and comfortable handling, which is why silk suture is traditionally used in oral surgery – for tooth extractions, periodontal and other oral mucosa procedures.
Silk is a non-absorbable material – the body does not break it down, so the sutures are removed once the wound has healed. The material may cause a moderate tissue reaction. The suture comes with a 3/8 circle reverse cutting needle; length 75 cm, 12 sterile packs per box.
