Description
Vericom Well-Prep is a cream-consistency EDTA preparation that facilitates mechanical root canal preparation. The ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) chelator, combined with carbamide peroxide, helps remove dentin debris and pulp remnants faster and more effectively during canal enlargement.
When reacting with sodium hypochlorite, the carbamide peroxide foams and mechanically lifts accumulated debris out of the canal. The preparation also demineralizes dentin, has an antimicrobial effect and lubricates the canal, so instruments glide more easily. Once the dentinal tubules are opened, subsequently used medicaments and root canal fillings penetrate better.
