MetiSmile MR – an advanced 3D face scanner for dentistry that combines fast geometry capture with detailed HD texture and mandibular movement trajectory recording. The system automatically aligns facial data with IOS/CBCT data, guides the user step by step and works in handheld or fixed mode. Flash-free (IR) scanning is gentle on the eyes, while automatic brightness adjustment ensures consistent color and skin rendering. Open export in STL/OBJ/PLY formats makes collaboration with the lab easier. All this in an elegant, compact ~800 g housing.

MetiSmile
The first face scanner developed and manufactured by SHINING 3D exclusively for dentistry. It quickly captures facial information, creates a 3D model and, with advanced software, supports clinical diagnostics.
Fast scanning
In just 10 seconds, the sensitive scanner captures images from multiple angles and reconstructs a three-dimensional face model.
High accuracy
Three data acquisition cameras and one 5.0 MP HD texture camera deliver scanning accuracy of up to 50 μm. MetiSmile also captures very clear tooth details.
Orthodontic treatment simulation
Among other things, the module includes automatic lip extraction and one-click tooth segmentation. The smart before / after presentation of results is complemented by integration of face scan data.
Facial feature measurement and comparison
Intuitive software recognizes three-dimensional facial features, lets you measure distances in 3D data and compare changes before and after treatment. These tools help dentists diagnose and evaluate treatment more effectively.

How does MetiSmile MR differ from the basic MetiSmile?
In the MR version, mandibular motion recording (Jaw Motion Tracking) is a standard feature – the motion trajectory is captured and exported to exocad or other CAD software.
What are the scanning speed and accuracy?
3D facial data is captured in ~10 s with three 1.3 MP cameras and a 5.0 MP HD texture camera; accuracy 50 μm, field of view 210 × 270 mm at a distance of 500 mm.
Is scanning uncomfortable for patients?
Scanning uses flash-free infrared light, so the process is comfortable for the patient; automatic brightness adjustment ensures natural skin color.
Which accessories are needed for motion recording?
