Description

AdDent MICROLUX DW – a transillumination and illumination device with two operating modes in one body: bright white LED light for transillumination and 405 nm violet (near-ultraviolet) light for fluorescence observation. Intended for dentists as an adjunct during routine oral examinations.

In white-light mode, as with the standard MICROLUX transilluminator, it is used to look for coronal fractures, caries and root canal orifices. The 405 nm mode uses differences in fluorescence to visualize biofilm, caries-causing bacteria and dental plaque, and to distinguish composite from natural tooth structure. A single button switches between modes, and yellow glasses are included for working in 405 nm mode to enhance fluorescence visibility.

Two modes in one device

Biofilm visualization

USB rechargeable

The lithium-ion battery is charged with a USB charger; one charge is enough for up to 360 one-minute examinations in white light mode.
