Description
Coded scan bodies are used to digitize full-arch implant positions with the Aoralscan Elite and Aoralscan Elite Wireless scanners using intraoral photogrammetry (IPG). Each scan body carries a unique dot code that the software uses to precisely identify and link the positions of all implants across the arch – helping to avoid the stitching errors typical of conventional edentulous arch scanning.
This set belongs to the previous-generation series, in which the scan body housing and retaining screw form a single, non-detachable unit (unlike newer models, where the screw can be separated from the housing). For clinics and labs that already own a set of this generation, additional units are available that are compatible with existing tools.
Use
The scan bodies are screwed onto multi-unit abutments (MUA), tightened with a torque wrench and screwdriver, then scanned with the Aoralscan Elite software.
- Compatible with the Aoralscan Elite / Elite Wireless system only
- Previous-generation scan bodies of one-piece (non-detachable) design
- Three configurations: set with tools, set without tools, single unit
- Before ordering, check implant system / MUA compatibility with your existing set
Frequently asked questions
How does this set differ from the new generation?
In older-generation bodies, the body and screw form a single, non-removable structure; in newer models, the screw can be separated.
Who should order it?
Clinics and labs that already have a set of this generation and want additional units compatible with their existing tools.
How do they work?
Each body has a unique dot code – in Aoralscan Elite / Elite Wireless IPG mode, the software combines the positions of all implants across the arch without the usual stitching errors.
How are they attached?
They are screwed onto multi-unit abutments (MUA) and tightened with a torque wrench to the torque specified by the manufacturer.
