Description
Replacement retaining screws for new-generation coded scan bodies (with a removable screw) used with Shining 3D Aoralscan Elite and Elite Wireless in intraoral photogrammetry (IPG) mode. The screw secures the scan body to the multi-unit abutment (MUA) on the implant; together with a torque wrench, it ensures correct and repeatable tightening during scanning – which determines how accurately the software captures implant positions in full-arch cases.
Because the screw is a separate part, it can be replaced on its own when it wears, the thread is damaged or the screw is lost – there is no need to replace the entire scan body set. It is worth keeping a few spare screws in the clinic so that full-arch implant scanning is never held up by a missing part. For clinics and labs already using Shining 3D coded scan bodies with the Aoralscan Elite system.
- For new-generation coded scan bodies with a removable screw
- Tightened with a torque wrench
- Sold individually or as a set of 9 pcs
Frequently asked questions
What are these screws for?
For new-generation coded scan bodies (with a removable screw) used with Aoralscan Elite / Elite Wireless in IPG mode: the screw fastens the body to the multi-unit abutment on the implant.
Can just one screw be replaced?
Yes – the screw is a separate part, so if it wears out, the thread is damaged or it is lost, only the screw is replaced, not the whole set of scan bodies.
Why is correct tightening important?
Repeatable tightening with a torque wrench determines how accurately the software will establish implant positions in a full-arch case.
Is it suitable for older-generation bodies?
No – in older-generation bodies the screw is a non-removable part of the body. Check which generation you use before ordering.
